When it comes to vascular health, Dr. James Antezana has made it his life’s work to provide the best care possible. Dr. Antezana is board certified in both general and vascular surgery, and currently treats patients at South Charlotte General and Vascular Surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Whether it’s peripheral artery disease or varicose veins, Dr. Antezana utilizes evidence-based medicine to provide his patients with the most effective results possible.
Dr. Antezana works with his patients from diagnosis through treatment, ensuring open communication and compassionate care every step of the way. His practice uses the latest technology, including the CUTERA excel VTM laser system, which delivers effective, noninvasive treatment for numerous vascular issues.
Dr. Antezana attended the University of San Simon Faculty of Medicine in Bolivia before completing a surgical internship at a Yale University-affiliated program at St. Mary’s Hospital in Connecticut. Following the internship, he completed his general surgery residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Philadelphia, a program affiliated with Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania. With tenacious dedication, Dr. Antezana then moved to Columbia, Missouri, to complete his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics.
As a double board-certified surgeon, Dr. Antezana now leads South Charlotte General and Vascular Surgery, his practice in Charlotte. Dr. Antezana honors most major insurances, as well as Medicaid and Medicare.
