Dr. Michael Broussard is a podiatric physician specializing in diabetic limb salvage, advanced wound care, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Originally from the Killeen/Fort Hood area of Texas, he practices at South Charlotte General and Vascular Surgery, where he collaborates with the vascular team to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care for patients with complex lower-extremity conditions.
Dr. Broussard earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Physiology from Mary Hardin-Baylor University in Belton, Texas, followed by a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. He then completed residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery with reconstructive rearfoot/ankle emphasis at the University of Texas at San Antonio (2022–2024) and Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina (2024–2026). His training focused extensively on comprehensive limb salvage techniques, biologic grafting, advanced wound management, and the multidisciplinary care of diabetic and ischemic limb pathology.
Driven by a deep commitment to limb preservation, Dr. Broussard believes that timely intervention, advanced wound care strategies, and patient education can profoundly impact outcomes—saving not only limbs but lives. He is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and is excited to contribute to the South Charlotte community as part of the SCGVS team.
